'MND fundraising makes me feel less helpless'
The wife of former Ipswich Town player Marcus Stewart said fundraising for motor neurone disease (MND) had made her feel less helpless.
Stewart, who also played for Sunderland and Bristol Rovers, was diagnosed with MND in September 2022.
Speaking on BBC Look East, Louise Stewart said: "When Marcus was first diagnosed, there was a real sense of feeling helpless, so getting involved in the fundraising helped to make a difference."
Alongside footballer Stephen Darby, the couple launched the third annual March of the Day walk, raising £150,000 for research into a cure.
