Nature reserve fire continues to burn underground
New footage shows the extent of the damage caused by a wildfire which broke out more than a week ago.
Firefighters have been tackling the blaze at Holme Fen, a peatland nature reserve near Peterborough, since 8 August.
Crews from across the country, including from County Durham, London and Merseyside, have been tackling the fire, which has been difficult to fully extinguish because peat burns underground.
"Steady progress has been made and we are discussing our tactics regularly to try and hopefully start to scale back our firefighting," said Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service's incident commander Wayne Swales on Monday.
