A teenage girl who died after a suspected hit-and-run in Wakefield has been named by police.

Nadia Mucha, 16, was found seriously injured on Rooks Nest Road at about 20:30 BST on 29 September and died in hospital four days later.

A 25-year-old man was arrested on Monday on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has since been bailed pending further enquiries, West Yorkshire Police said.

Temporary Det Ch Insp Elly Buchanan, from the force's homicide and major enquiry team, said officers were supporting Nadia's family and appealed to anyone with information to get in touch.
