Lanes reopen on M5 after lorry fire
BBCLanes heading northbound on the M5 have reopened between junction 26 in Somerset and 27 in Devon after a lorry fire.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said fire crews were called at 11:58 BST to reports of a well-alight small car transporter carrying three vehicles.
Four appliances attended the scene while the carriageway was closed, and the fire was extinguished using two breathing apparatuses and two hose reel jets, the service confirmed.
National Highways confirmed there were delays of 10 minutes and one mile of congestion on approach.
Crews remained on scene and were continuing to dampen the area to prevent the fire from spreading to a nearby verge, fire bosses said.
