A man has died after a collision between a car and a van in a village.

The East of England Ambulance Service (EEAS) said it was called just before 04:30 BST to Helmingham Road in Otley, near Ipswich, Suffolk.

Two ambulances, an ambulance officer vehicle and the East Anglian Air Ambulance attended the incident, but the man died at the scene, the EEAS added.

Suffolk Police said Helmingham Road reopened at 14:30 BST.
