Motorcycle passenger killed in crash with lorry
Getty ImagesA woman in her 70s has been killed in a serious crash involving a motorcycle and a lorry.
Emergency services were called to the A4136 Mireystock Crossroads, near Upper Lydbrook in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, at about 16:55 BST on Wednesday.
The passenger of a grey Moto Guzzi motorcycle was declared dead at the scene. The rider, a man aged in his 70s, was taken to hospital where he remains.
Gloucestershire Constabulary said the driver of a white Nissan dropside lorry was not hurt in the crash.
In a statement, police said an account will be taken from the driver of the motorcycle once he is fit to be spoken to by officers.
Several roads were closed while a collision investigation took place and these have since reopened.
Investigating officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone who has any relevant dashcam footage, to get in contact.
