Bar pays condolences after customer dies in fall
BBCA bar in Birmingham where a man fell to his death has offered condolences to his family.
The man, who was in his 40s and yet to be named publicly, was reported to have fallen "a number of floors" inside Henman & Cooper on Colmore Row on Sunday evening.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the venue said it was "deeply saddened by the incident" and that it was grateful for the "swift response and care" of the emergency services.
The statement went on to say: "Our thoughts and sincere condolences are with the family and friends [of the deceased] at this incredibly difficult time."
West Midlands Police previously said the death was not being treated as suspicious and a report was being prepared for the coroner.
Henman & Cooper added: "Out of respect for those affected, we ask that people refrain from speculation and allow the family the privacy they deserve."
