Fire crews tackle straw bale barn blaze

Fire crews have tackled a blaze inside a barn near a town in the Cotswolds.

Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue said crews were called to Southcombe near Chipping Norton just after midnight on Wednesday.

Four fire engines from Chipping Norton, Hook Norton, Charlbury and Banbury fire stations were sent to the scene.

The fire service said crews dampened down straw bales, which had been on fire in a barn before departing at 14:25 BST.
