Fire crews work overnight at caravan park blaze
Gabriel EmersonFire crews worked overnight after a large fire broke out at a caravan park in Oxfordshire.
At its height more than 120 firefighters from across the county and beyond responded to the blaze at Oaks Caravan Park in Fyfield Wick, near Abingdon, on Sunday evening.
The site was evacuated, with residents of the park moved to safety at a nearby cricket ground.
Overnight, 11 crews continued to deal with the fire, which is currently believed to have started accidentally. Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said there were no injuries and a presence remains on scene on Monday morning.
The service said it received more than 30 calls about the incident.
An investigation into the cause will continue today.
Crews from Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service, Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service and Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service provided support.
The Oxfordshire service was also supported by Thames Valley Police, Oxfordshire County Council, South and Vale District Council and Rapid Relief Team UK.
