Watch: Colchester United owner on team sale

Colchester United's owner has said he is determined to make "the best decision" over the club's future ownership as he continues to look for a new buyer.

Robbie Cowling was speaking on BBC Essex's Football Fans' Phone-In, where he was questioned about the three unsuccessful takeover attempts since the club was put up for sale in 2025.

The U's have only won twice so far in their 12 League Two matches this season, leading to frustration from some fans.

Cowling commented on recent negativity and said: "They do not have to like me, they do not have to agree with my decisions, but get behind the team, it makes such a difference."
