Angry Ginge has revealed that three family pets died in a house fire at his mum's home.

In an update to streaming platform Twitch on Wednesday, the content creator told fans that two cats and one rabbit belonging to his mum had died - after a fire broke out at his mum's home in Salford, in Greater Manchester, earlier this week.

The 24-year-old, real name Morgan Burtwistle, described Simba, Herbert and Sparky as "unbelievable cats and rabbits" and "so cute", before showing viewers pictures of the trio.

He said: "The main thing is that my mum is ok - if my mum was in the house she wouldn't have made it out, that's how bad it was."

Angry Ginge told fans he had had to miss the briefing for his upcoming Soccer Aid appearance, when his mum called him about the blaze.

And in an emotional stream on Wednesday, he said: "My mum had two cats and a rabbit in the house, obviously didn't survive.

"Rest in peace to Simba, rest in peace to Herbert and rest in peace to Sparky, they didn't make it out which is obviously really, really sad.

"Obviously I lived with them when I lived with my mum in Bacup.

"My mum was in London for Soccer Aid - that's the fortunate thing."
