Four people have been injured in a crash in East Sussex, with one in a serious condition, police have said.

The incident happened in Ivyhouse Lane, near Hastings, in the early hours of Tuesday.

Four occupants of a vehicle sustained injuries, with one airlifted to hospital in a serious condition, Sussex Police said.

A road closure is in place from the junction with Chowns Hill to the crossroad with Moor Lane and Rock Lane near Three Oaks.

"The closures are expected to be in place for some time while we investigate this incident, and motorists are advised to find alternative routes," the police added.

"We are reviewing the wider circumstances of the collision."
