Man in hospital after serious crash shuts A5
BBCA section of the A5 between is closed in both directions after a serious crash in Warwickshire, National Highways said.
The major route is shut between the A428 turning for Crick, Northamptonshire, and the A426 junction for Shawell, Leicestershire, after the collision.
The crash involved a car and a lorry and occurred at 08:49 BST at the junction with Newton Lane near Rugby, Warwickshire Police said.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said the driver of the car, a man, was found in a serious condition and taken to hospital. The lorry driver was discharged at the scene.
