Plans to build more than 300 homes in town
Wain EstatesA housing developer has submitted a planning application to build up to 335 homes on the outskirts of Oswestry.
Wain Estates said the housing development would include a number of affordable homes, along with new road junction to access the site from the B4540.
The plans include an area of parkland around a Grade II listed property called The Hayes, which stands next to the site.
People have until 28 July to give their thoughts on the proposals.
Wain EstatesDocuments show that Wain Estates will look to utilise and improve a section of the existing bridleway that crosses the site from High Fawr Avenue, on the outskirts of Oswestry.
This, say the developer, will include an enhanced surface and low level lighting, providing pedestrian and cycle access onto High Fawr Avenue.
It said a number of older trees that will be retained when the homes are built and there is a promise of public open spaces, walking routes and play areas.
