Two men taken to hospital after street stabbing

Two men were taken to hospital after being stabbed during a street fight in Nottingham.

Emergency services were called to St Ann's at about 00:15 BST on Friday, where they found the men, both in their 30s, with knife injuries. Nottinghamshire Police said they had been attacked by a third man in Heskey Walk.

One of the victims needed emergency surgery but neither man's injuries were thought to be life-threatening, the force added.

Police have been reviewing CCTV footage from the area and have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

Det Insp Lisa Jones said: "We have been working hard to understand what happened during this incident.

"The two victims were waiting in the street when they were attacked.

"One of the men needed emergency surgery and it is fortunate both were not more seriously harmed.

"Our CCTV and other local inquiries have been extensive, but we are also asking for the public's help.

"If you have any information, or relevant CCTV, doorbell, mobile phone or dashcam footage, please get in touch without delay."
