Witness appeal after man hurt in crash with tree

A man has been left with serious injuries after the car he was in crashed into a tree in Wakefield.

Officers were called at about 14:45 BST on Monday to reports a Ford Focus had collided with the tree on Chevet Lane in Notton.

The car's occupant, a 23-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment, according to West Yorkshire Police.

Anyone who saw what happened, or who had relevant footage from the scene, was asked to get in touch with officers.
