Forensic investigation near station after assault

A section of road in front of Brighton Railway Station has been cordoned off for forensic investigations following a serious assault, police say.

Sussex Police said it received a report of an incident in Queens Road at about 03:45 BST on Sunday.

A 32-year-old man had facial injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment, the force added.

Police said enquiries were ongoing to find the suspect and urged anyone with relevant information to contact them.
