Boys in court over teen flick knife fatal stabbing
Family handoutTwo boys have appeared in court accused of fatally stabbing an older teenager with "flick knives" in south London.
The teenagers, aged 14 and 15, appeared at the Old Bailey at separate hearings charged with murdering Jamal Coombes, 17, in Battersea on 20 June.
Police were called at around 04:20 BST on Saturday to reports of a stabbing on Glycena Road. The victim was found with multiple stab wounds and died at the scene.
The defendants, from Wandsworth, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, were also charged with possession of a blade.
The judge set a plea hearing for 10 September and a provisional trial for both defendants from March 2027.
The 15-year-old was placed into youth custody.
