Fire, food and music festival 'expected to return'
BBCA chef behind a fire, food and music event in Shropshire said he was expecting it to return in 2027.
Adam Purnell, who left his job as a youth worker to deliver classes in the art of cooking with fire, was an organiser of Embers Fire Festival in Ironbridge on Saturday and Sunday.
"We need to do some debriefs and kind of tweak a few little things, but yeah I think it's almost certainly gonna be back next year," he said. He also said people had been stopping him "to say 'thank you for bringing this to Ironbridge'".
The chef started the Shropshire Lad YouTube channel in 2017 showcasing his outdoor cooking adventures.

The organiser said he thought the festival was "a really nice size".
"There's a few little things we've already talked about that we could do maybe just to expand it slightly.
"We can stretch the park out without having to expand or move I think for next time."
Purnell, who did a demo on both days, admitted he "didn't get to eat very much because... [of] moving about".
"I was on the demo stage quite a bit. I sort of tried to look after the chefs who had come. [We] invited a lot of these chefs to come and demonstrate."
Purnell and the Embers Cafe team, in Coalbrookdale, were celebrating a third year of trading by organising the festival at the weekend in partnership with Telford & Wrekin Council.
