A review looking at Avon and Somerset Police's response to the disappearance of Jack O'Sullivan is set to launch. Jack disappeared in 2024 after attending a house party in Bristol, and has never been found. The College of Policing will look at the force's response to the case, according to Bristol Live.

The Swindon Advertiser reports more than 5,000 drivers have been recorded exceeding a 30mph (48 km/h)) speed limit outside a primary school in the town over the last 12 months.

North Somerset Council leader Mike Bell said the marine lake in Weston-super-Mare experienced litter and anti-social behaviour during the hot weather, adding he has asked council officers and police to look into the issues.

And a 16ft (five metre) pair of inflatable trousers from Wallace and Gromit appeared in Bristol Cathedral on Wednesday. It was part of The Grand Appeal's fundraising for the Bristol Children Hospital and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael's Hospital. It has been touring Bristol and will move to a new location on Wednesday.

There has been a lively discussion about how flats under construction in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, appear to look.

Cheltenham Civic Society said the block of 147 apartments look like a prison or a 1970s office block. The scheme's developer said works have not finished and was still "a few months off the first plots being ready for occupation".

Concerns over look of new housing development

The flats are part of a £50m development on a car park on the outskirts of the town centre. Almost 2,000 people have registered their interest in the homes, with the apartments expected to be ready for occupation later in the summer.
