A man has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing in Wolverhampton city centre.

Brad Thomas, 27, died after being found with a chest injury at a car park on Clarence Street at 03:00 BST on Sunday.

Joseph Willis, 37, has been charged with murder, and a 65-year-old man of the same name is charged with assisting an offender.

Thomas's family said he was "one of a kind" who would be missed "by all his friends and family".

The accused are set to appear before magistrates in the city later.

A man and woman, aged 66 and 59 respectively, arrested in connection with the police inquiry, have been released on bail, West Midlands Police has said.

In a statement, the force added: "Our investigation is continuing and we are still appealing for anyone with information or footage from around the area to get in touch."
