Girl, nine, seriously injured following crash

A nine-year-old girl has been seriously injured after being struck by a car.

The collision happened on Marldon Road, Paignton, Devon, at about 17:20 BST on Monday.

A road closure was put in place while initial investigations took place.

Devon and Cornwall Police have appealed for witnesses, with anyone who has information or dash-cam footage asked to contact the force.
