Bridge closure to bring disruption to drivers
BBCA bridge closure is expected to bring disruption to drivers over two weeks.
Repair work will start on Monday to the ex-railway bridge at Cumwhinton, near Carlisle.
Cumberland Council said the road will be closed from 09:00 BST to 15:30 on weekdays for the next fortnight while work is ongoing.
A signed diversion will be in place, but access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times, the council said.
A spokesperson said bin collections would not be affected by the closure.
They added: "We recognise that road closures can cause disruption and would like to thank residents and road users for their patience while this important work is completed."
