Murder charge after death of father-of-six

A man has been charged with murder following the death of another man in Solihull at the weekend.

Stuart Nash died following an incident in Shustoke Road on Saturday evening and Kevin Johnson, 38, of Birmingham, appeared before magistrates in Coventry on Tuesday.

West Midlands Police said he was due to appear again on 24 September at Birmingham Crown Court.

Nash's family described him as a "devoted dad to his six children" and added: "Being a dad was one of the most important things in his life."

They said he was "loving and kind and would do anything for the people he loved".

"We will miss his smile, his laughter and simply having him around," they added.

"There are no words that can describe the pain of losing Stuart, and our lives will never be the same.

"He will always be loved and never forgotten."

A 35-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released on bail while investigations continue.
