Murder arrest after police called to street disorder

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder over the death of another man in the West Midlands.

Officers were called to disorder in Shustoke Road, Solihull, just before 21:25 BST on Saturday, West Midlands Police said.

"A man in his 40s was found in the street with serious injuries and was confirmed dead at the scene," said a police spokesperson.

A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder, and a woman, 35, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, they added. Both are in custody for questioning.

A police presence remains in the area as investigations continue into the man's death. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

"Our thoughts are with his loved ones and we'll be offering our support to them at this devastating time," the force added.
