Simon Levy denies two murders and raping a further woman

An Old Bailey jury has been shown CCTV footage of the movements of a man accused of killing two women, and one of his alleged victims.

Simon Levy, 40, of Tottenham in north London, pleaded not guilty to killing Carmenza Valencia-Trujillo, 53, and Sheryl Wilkins, 39, in March 2025 and August 2025 respectively.

On Tuesday, the court was shown CCTV footage from 23 and 24 August last year, which showed Levy and Wilkins visit a side area of the B&M car park on Tottenham's high street.

Wilkins' body was found there by two police officers on patrol at approximately 06:30 BST on 24 August.

It was the same location that Levy was also accused of violently raping another - surviving - woman, eight months before, in January.

CCTV shown to the jury showed several cars pulled into the car park between the time the two arrived and when Wilkins was found.

Two witnesses told the court they had seen someone "lying down" and that the area was known as a place people had sex.

CCTV officer DC Adolphus Alexander told the court he had retrieved over 200 hours of CCTV footage taken from cameras down Tottenham High Road, and also trawled cameras near Levy's house on Beaufoy Road, 750m away from the B&M.

In footage shown to the court, Levy and Wilkins were seen talking at a bus stop before entering the B&M car park together.

Shortly before 01:00 BST, Levy went behind the wall of the service yard, just off the main car park, and was hidden from the CCTV camera opposite. Wilkins followed.

At 01:37 BST a white car pulled into the service area and turned around.

The driver of the car worked at the B&M at the time and told the court that he had parked in the car park whilst visiting friends.

He added that when he drove in, he saw a black man kneeling behind the wall, and that moments later, after he had turned around, the man was lying on his side.

He told the court that people had sex "every day" in this particular part of the car park, and that he often came to check it "to make sure there were no problems".

Asked if he would have moved anyone on, he said he was "not allowed to".

Minutes later, Levy was captured moving in and out of view, and stepped out from behind the wall and returned twice.

Two cars pulled into the car park at 01:49 BST. One of the drivers told the jury that he had seen a black man '"lying horizontally" on the ground along the wall, and thought that he was was homeless and lying on a sleeping bag.

The witness added that the man's trousers were down and he could "see his buttocks". He said that he "didn't get a good look at his face", before driving away.

At 01:50 BST, Levy reappeared on CCTV, moved back behind the wall for a couple of seconds and then walked out of the area.

He returned home, but did not take a direct route and instead walked away from his house using back streets, before returning to the main road and heading to his home on Beaufoy Road.

One of the police officers that discovered Wilkins' body initially mistook her for the unnamed woman who had accused Levy of a violent rape in the same car park eight months earlier.

The jury were shown photos of injuries found on Wilkins' body, which included bruises and scrapes on her stomach and right forearm. They were not present in CCTV footage taken of her earlier in the day.
