An investigation into a teenage girl's death at Kendal Calling festival remains open, police have said.

The 17-year-old suffered a medical episode at the festival site near Penrith at about 02:15 BST on 2 August and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Cumbria Police.

The force said her death was being treated as non-suspicious but added her file would be passed to the coroner to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death.

No other details about the teenager have been released by police, who added her family had requested privacy.
