Evening Mountain Road closures for verge cutting
BBCThe Isle of Man's Mountain Road is set to be closed for four evenings later this month to allow for verge trimming ahead of the TT races.
Temporary closures will be in place from 18:30 BST to 22:30 between 18 and 21 May to allow for hedges and grass verges to be cut back.
It marks the latest set of works on the A18 ahead of the 2026 event, which gets under way on 25 May.
Motorists from the north heading for the island's capital, Douglas, are set to be diverted via the Ramsey to Laxey Coast Road during the closures.
The works follow a two-week closure of the road last month to allow for maintenance works including gully maintenance, roadside wall reconstruction, resurfacing, and surface patch works, line painting and tree felling.
Poles and signs related to the TT one-way system were also installed, along with race safety equipment and marshalling posts, and bridges and curbs were painted.
