Project aims to build business owners confidence
GettyA programme is returning to Shropshire for its third year to help businesses build retail confidence.
The Shropshire Artisan Showcase, which aims to highlight how supporting local companies strengthens town centres, will be held at Darwin Shopping Centre, Shrewsbury, from 11 to 16 May.
As part of the project, a pop-up shop will open to provide business owners with hands-on trading experience in a busy town centre.
"It gives makers the confidence to test their products, engage directly with customers and build skills they can use well beyond the event itself," Anna Sadler, from the Shropshire Growth Hub said.
Visitors to the showcase can meet local makers, hear the stories behind their work and discover products like ceramics, jewellery and textiles.
Councillor Rob Wilson said the project brought "fresh energy and distinctiveness" to the high street, while providing new opportunities to grow.
