A man has denied committing arson attacks on a 5G mast and an Indian restaurant in Surrey.

Milo Creese, 40, pleaded not guilty to setting fire to a 5G mast belonging to the Mobile Broadband Network in Ottershaw, as well as damaging a window in Chertsey in November.

Creese, of Ottershaw, also denied arson with intent to endanger life after an Indian restaurant was set on fire in October last year, causing £8,000 of damage.

He appeared at the Old Bailey on Wednesday also accused of damaging property, having a crossbow in a public place and assaulting two police officers.

Judge Richard Marks KC set a further hearing for 19 June ahead of a ten-day trial at the Old Bailey from 1 September.

The defendant was remanded into custody.
