Men bailed after fatal fire murder arrests
Andy MeggisonTwo men arrested on suspicion of murder and arson with intent to endanger life following the death of a man in a house fire have been bailed.
The fire, in the roof of a home on Ronsons Close in Cowes, Isle of Wight, broke out on Friday just after 03:30 BST and spread to neighbouring properties. A man in his 20s was pronounced dead at the scene.
The men, both 24 and from Cowes, were among three men arrested on Saturday following the fire.
A 59-year-old man, also from the town and held on suspicion of the same offences, has been released from bail and will not face any further action.
Island EchoA 28-year-old man from Ventnor, arrested on suspicion of murder, arson with intent to endanger life and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place on Friday, remains on bail with conditions.
About 30 firefighters brought the flames under control as they spread to neighbouring homes, with residents led to safety.
Anyone with information or relevant footage from doorbell, dashcam or CCTV is urged to contact police.
