Pauline James's family say she was adored by everyone who met her

A woman who died in a car crash in Lincolnshire was "deeply adored" by everyone who met her, according to her family.

Pauline James, 79, was seriously hurt when the MG she was driving was involved in a four-vehicle collision on the A157 close to Gayton-Le-Wold and Grimblethorpe on 15 March.

She was taken to hospital, but died a day later, Lincolnshire Police said.

In a tribute released via the force, her family said they were "beyond broken" by the loss of "our perfect, beautiful, kind and fun-loving mum, grandmother and great grandmother".

It read: "She was deeply adored and treasured by all who were lucky enough to meet her. We will miss her warm and crazy presence every day. She wasn't just anyone, she was our world.

"Pauline was a gifted figure skater in her younger years, and then went on to own her own business. But her greatest and proudest achievement was the family that she raised and nurtured.

"Every day will feel empty without her. The most perfect woman who wasn't ready to leave this world."

A four-year-old boy, from Birmingham, who was a passenger in a black Volvo XC60 involved, died on 23 March, police said.

Officers said investigations into the circumstances of the collision remained ongoing.
