Man to appear in court over tractor death

A man has been summoned to court following the death of a worker at a Lincolnshire quarry.

Robert Garfoot, 35, of Charles Wright Court, Mablethorpe, is accused of causing death by careless driving following the incident at Welton Aggregates, near Welton le Marsh, on 11 November 2024.

At the time, Lincolnshire Police said a 38-year-old man died after being hit by a tractor towing a muck spreader in the car park of the premises.

Garfoot is due to appear at Boston Magistrates' Court on 12 August 2026.
