Phil GrovesA soaring kestrel and a hunting stork are among the wildlife snapped by photographers during a sunny week.
It saw temperatures exceed 34C in south-east England for two days in a row and a new May record of 35.1C was recorded at Kew Gardens in London.
Over in Cumbria, Phil Groves said he was was having lunch up on Queen Adelaides Hill in Windermere when he spotted a kestrel behind him, adding it was "such a beautiful bird to watch".
Meanwhile Tarquin Pentecast saw a banded demoiselle after he sought shade by a small brook close to the River Derwent in the "beautiful county he called home".
Tarquin PentecastJamie McCaffrey described seeing a white stork "silently hunting through the marshes" near Arnside as "a highlight of the year".
He said he was "amazed" to see it, adding it was a "special experience".

"It was so lovely to see the local wildlife enjoying the sunny weather," he added.

"It pecked a hole in it for the yolk, then dropped the egg," he added.
