Police are urging witnesses to come forward after a woman was sexually assaulted in Walsall.

West Midlands Police said it happened at about 1600 BST on 23 June, when the woman was walking along a trail path between Walsall Country Park and Walsall Arboretum.

The suspect is described as an older man, around 5ft 8ins tall, white and slim with blue eyes and short, patchy grey hair. He was wearing a round neck T-shirt, long trousers and a lightweight jacket.

"We're particularly keen to hear from people who may have been in the location at the same time, and who may have mobile footage to please contact us," the force said.

A full area search was completed, and the woman is being supported, it added.

Extra officers were also on patrol around Walsall Arboretum.
