Austrian midfielder Sven Sprangler has joined League Two side Walsall from Scottish Premiership side St Johnstone on a two-year deal.
The 31-year-old is new Saddler boss Lee Grant's third signing following the arrival of Sutton midfielder Lewis Simper and former Barnsley forward Andy Dallas.
Sprangler scored once in 79 appearances during three seasons with the Scottish side and spent the second half of last season on loan at Newport County.
He began his career at Mattersburg before joining Austrian Bundesliga rivals Wolfsberger where he played five times in the Europa League.
"The conversations I've had with the gaffer have been incredible and his idea of playing football aligned with myself," Sprangler told the club website. , external
