Man, 57, pleads not guilty to murder charge

A 57-year-old man has appeared at court, denying the murder of another man in Plymouth last month.

Mark Carpenter, of Embankment Road, Plymouth, is accused of murdering 28-year-old Harry Jackson. An inquest previously heard Jackson died from multiple stab wounds.

Carpenter pleaded not guilty to the murder charge when he appeared at Plymouth Crown Court on Monday.

He is due to go on trial in October and has been remanded in custody.
