The A14 eastbound carriageway near Felixstowe was closed due to a crash involving two motorbikes

A busy road has been closed after a crash involving two motorbikes.

National Highways said the A14 was shut eastbound in Suffolk, between junction 59 for Trimley St Martin and junction 60 for Trimley St Mary near Felixstowe, at about 12:20 BST.

It said Suffolk Police were at the scene and officers had put a diversion in place.

Drivers were warned there were delays of 30 minutes on the approach to the incident with three miles (4.8km) worth of congestion.

The collision was cleared and the road reopened at about 12:38, according to the traffic monitoring service Inrix.
