One person in hospital after serious crash closes A947 near Fyvie

One person has been taken to hospital following a serious crash in Aberdeenshire.

The emergency services - including an air ambulance - were sent to the scene of the two-vehicle accident on the A947, north of Fyvie, at about 13:30.

One casualty was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

The Scottish Ambulance Service said the call-out involved an air ambulance with a critical care team, as well as two ambulances and two special operations response teams. Police Scotland said the road was closed and advised motorists to find alternative routes.
