Police name pedestrian killed in West Lothian hit-and-run

A pedestrian who died following a hit-and-run in West Lothian has been named by police.

Raffaele Bramante, from Linlithgow, was struck by a grey Renault Clio on the town's Main Street at about 00:20 on 30 August.

Bramante, 48, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and Police Scotland said inquiries were ongoing to establish the full circumstances.

A force spokesman said: "Our thoughts are with the family of the man who has died."

He asked anyone with dashcam footage or other information to contact the force.
