Police launch investigation after man dies in street

Police were called to Liversage Street on Thursday morning

Police have launched an investigation into the death of a man who collapsed in a street in Derby.

Derbyshire Police said it was called to Liversage Street at 05:13 BST on Thursday.

Officers attended the scene and started treatment, but the 62-year-old man was pronounced dead a short time later.

The force said officers had identified the man, but formal identification has yet to take place and it was working to trace his family.

Inquiries into the circumstances of the man's death are ongoing.

Detectives have said they particularly want to hear from anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage from the area around Liversage Street between midnight and 05:13.
