Arrests made after woman stabbed in street

A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder

Four people have been arrested after a woman was seriously injured in a stabbing in Huddersfield.

West Yorkshire Police were called to Topaz Close, Huddersfield, at about 22:40 BST on Monday, where they found a 30-year-old woman with neck and head injuries. She was taken to hospital and remains critically ill.

Officers said a 17-year-old boy from Huddersfield has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Two teenagers, aged 16 and 17, and an 18-year-old man have also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Police want to speak to anyone who saw the attack or two suspects on an e-bike or a Sur-Ron bike within the Birkby or Edgerton area.
