Man in court charged with rape and sexual assault

A man has appeared before magistrates charged with two counts of rape and one of sexual assault.

Amr Karim, 20, was arrested last week by officers investigating an incident reported at a property in Manor Park, Guildford, Surrey, on 28 June.

Karim, who has been living in London, appeared before magistrates in Guildford on Monday, and was remanded in custody to face trial at Guildford Crown Court on 4 January.

Surrey Police said Karim was an Egyptian national. This information has been released by the police consistent with national guidelines.
