By the time Christmas was upon us, the audition date was not far away and there was lots of practising to be done! We were told we could sing anything we were comfortable with and I chose one of my favourites, Ill Walk Beside You. Before I knew it, D day had arrived and I took myself off to St John's Church, North Shields, to give it my best shot! We were given a practice with an accompanist before we went in. After a couple of practices, it was my turn. The panel was very friendly and even made jokes to put you at your ease. After all those weeks of practising, it was all over in minutes - I couldnt believe how quickly it went. The jurys still out, but decisions will be known in the next couple of days ... so fingers crossed! At the end of the day, whatever happens, it was too good an opportunity to miss and I definitely enjoyed the experience. All in all I am thoroughly enjoying the whole of the Sing Live experience. I really look forward to the rehearsals and leave them feeling exhilarated and on a high. | Music was always so much in my life and now I am once again involved in something that I live for |
The people within the group are great. I enjoy speaking with so many people who all have different musical experiences and stories to tell. Already there is a sense of unity between us and the enthusiasm amongst the group is overwhelming. The company itself deserves a mention for is fantastic organisation and professionalism. Music was always so much in my life and now I am once again involved in something that I live for.
