The pub's Thursday night takings have never been so good - they had better buy a couple of tickets to the concert. They could even auction them. Lots of stretching and breathing exercises again this week. I wonder if they're thinking about a Sing Live exercise video? Someone would buy it, I'm sure! There were a few disappointed faces on the people who had been unsuccessful in the auditions, but they soon cheered up once the singing started. I have never sung anything like this before.
However, on closer examination, I see that the version I have purchased (at a knock down price, as this copy has been on the shelf for ten years!) is sung by Ian Gillan of Deep Purple. Chris, another sing live member, tells me that Michael Ball has also recorded a version, so after a few phone calls to friends I have a copy. I have been working away this week so have been playing the music continually in the car - thought I'd give the neighbours a break. Will be travelling back on Thursday - don't want to miss anything! |
