The rehearsal tonight involved more bizarre exercises, from waving hands to throwing basketballs.

The most bizarre thing about these exercises is that they really work – the high notes that I can now reach surprise me, quite an achievement for an Alto 2.

The fight between the West Side Story Sharks and Jets continues, with the rivalry between the two groups hotting up to dangerous levels (can we still be friends after singing ‘Tonight’? – I do hope so!)

I have sent off my application to sing at the Royal Albert Hall, an opportunity that I can’t miss. Already I am looking forward to the launch of this event in order to see the chosen songs.

It seems like I have certainly caught the singing bug – thanks ‘Sing Live’!
