The big freeze Unfortunately, the extreme chosen was at the colder end of the Centigrade scale. Some kind bod had forgotten to put the heating on in the rehearsal venue and the temperature inside was only marginally above freezing. I surprised myself today. I actually remembered quite a few of the words - perhaps they werent all in the right order, but hey, its a start! |
However, in true showbiz style the rehearsal still went on and even though everyones body temperature was low, spirits were high. I surprised myself today. I actually remembered quite a few of the words - perhaps they werent all in the right order, but hey, its a start! And the news on Thursday ... Although those who had auditioned last weekend already knew who had been allocated a solo part, tonight (Thursday 16 January) was the night that everyone else in the choir found out who had been successful. Commiserations to those who were not successful this time and congratulations to all of those who were - we are depending on you! (No pressure you understand.) This rehearsal once again passed quickly and before we knew it, it was time to go to the pub. |
This rehearsal once again passed quickly and before we knew it, it was time to go to the pub. The hot topic of conversation being the solo parts and who was going to the Albert Hall in May. Well, I take this opportunity to announce publicly that I am definitely going - my application form will be submitted next week. London look out! Come on the rest of you, dont miss out on this fabulous opportunity! |
