From food and toothpaste, to eco-friendly packaging and fossil-free biofuels, seaweed has been championed as a wonder crop, worth USD 32 billion globally by 2028.Yet the volume of seaweed produced in Europe is only a small fraction compared to Asia.
From processing factories to its new wave of sea-farmers, Norway harvests more seaweed than any other European country, and Adrienne Murray visited the country's central coast to see how the seaweed business is shaping up.
