Met Police seize £4m in cash and 1kg of cocaine

A man has been arrested after Met Police seized an estimated £4m in cash and 1kg of cocaine during an operation in Catford.

Officers stopped a car and found about £35,000 in cash. A 54-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing criminal property.

A search of a linked address uncovered about £4m hidden in bags across two bedrooms, along with 1kg of cocaine, police said.

The Met said it was one of its biggest cash seizures and said disrupting organised crime helps reduce serious violence across London.
