Restaurant hammer attack vandal caught on camera
A masked vandal who smashed the windows of a restaurant before throwing paint over the front of the building has been caught on CCTV.
Pictures from outside the Antep Bar and Grill on Nether Hall Road, in Doncaster, show a man wearing a crash helmet attacking the building in the early hours of Wednesday.
Owner Bektas Polat said he had to close the business that morning as a result of the incident, which he said had left him with a £1,800 repair bill.
"It's cost me a lot of money and it's cost me a lot of time," he said.
South Yorkshire Police said they were called at 02:46 BST on Wednesday to reports of criminal damage.
"It is reported that a man smashed five windows at the premises with a hammer before leaving the scene," a spokesperson added.
The force has requested anyone with information get in touch.
